about getting from point A to point B in the most interesting ways possible

If you're a large woman in America, your whole life is an opportunity to feel self-conscious, embarrassed, resentful and way too big. You can hide in the corner or on the couch, you can go to therapy, or you can put on your lycra bike shorts and get out there and move.

10 pounds by Austin permalink

(shout it like No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn!)

Susan wrote recently about an Outside article/thingee that argues that losing 10 pounds will improve your marathon time by 11 minutes. How cool is that?!

There are 25 days (!!!!) til Freescale.

The liquid calories will be the hard part. It always is. Last night I had a couple seasonal beers that were just so yummy.

My only success with combating those liquid calories (or any calories I know I shouldn't really take in) comes from posting all kinds of inspirational posters all over my cube at work and my closet door at home that remind me WHY I shouldn't have them.

Even that sometimes doesn't work.
