about getting from point A to point B in the most interesting ways possible

If you're a large woman in America, your whole life is an opportunity to feel self-conscious, embarrassed, resentful and way too big. You can hide in the corner or on the couch, you can go to therapy, or you can put on your lycra bike shorts and get out there and move.

the art of being vulnerable permalink

City riding is a continual lesson in feminine principles, in particular the art of being vulnerable. A confrontational, macho aesthetic spells calamity. You must learn to yield, to dodge, to seek harmony. You are obliged to mind the web of interrelations, that complicated mesh of interests, conflicts, intentions.

Hey, girl - just wanted to drop you a line and tell you about my purchase today: 2007 Bianchi Milano. It will be my commuting bike. It is GEORGOUS. Yes, I got the Celeste green color and woman's frame. Oh, and did you know they make cycling SANDALS? BLISSSSSSSS...

Hey there, how's the Vegan thing going? Still at it? I wanted to let you know that I am the proud mommy of a Bianchi Milano, whom I have named "Pistachio" because it's the same color of my favorite pudding when I was little. I promise to post pictures soon.
